South London four piece Wake are:
Paul Goldsmith : guitar/vocals
Jenny Newton : violin
Johnny Morgan : drums/backing vocals
Paul Godfrey : bass/backing vocals

Paul "Pazza" Godfrey (bass player with Ozric Tentacles) and Johnny Morgan (drummer with Senser and Moke) had been working informally with singer/songwriter Paul Goldsmith for a number of years.

During rehearsals they met with Jenny Newton who brought the acoustic driven, uplifting sound of 'Wake' through her violin playing and soon Jenny was the fourth member of the band. The lineup was complete. In a short space of time they had recorded 14 songs and in the Summer of 2003 decided the time was right to pick an initial six tracksfor the first limited edition E.P.

2004/2005 sees Wake pursuing their intent to play live, displaying their shared passion for music, and they will be continuing with the live approach on their forthcoming album.
